Up for your consideration is a fine late 19th Century Meiji-era cloisonne vase, Japanese, c. The vase features an especially intricate foil background, with a bird among foliage. The vase measures 5" tall x 2.5" wide. The vase is in very good condition.
There is one "ding" to the surface, but no enamel loss (see last photo). Otherwise, it free of chips, cracks, damage or crazing. There is a trivial short tight line in one spot, and slight oxidation/discoloration to the very bottom of the vase by the foot-rim. The piece presents very well. This quote is for the Continental U.
