Fine Vintage Antique Japanese Artist SIGNED Satsums Bowl Flowers Birds Art WOW

  

Up for sale is this beautiful vintage / antique Japanese large satsuma pottery bowl with incredible hand-painted flowers and birds in a gorgeous landscape scene. The colors and details are bright and stunning with gilt gold accents throughout which glimmer in the light. We see so many flower varieties including peonies or chrysanthemums and others. One bird is mid-air while the other is resting on a branch. The rim has small pinched areas to also resemble flower petals.

The upper rim is also decorated with sawtooth gilt triangle designs. The sides of the bowl also have large and colorful floral sprays with foliage. An exceptional piece signed by the artist on the bottom. I was not able to identify the artist but he or she is clearly a very talented master! In excellent condition with no cracks or chips or losses.

Some surface crazing expected with age. Measures about 8.5" inches in diameter and 3.25" inches high (21.6 cm, 8.3 cm). Would make a fantastic display piece, fine addition to a collection, or a great gift!
