Japan, a fine hand-carved double thick, double sided special wooden screen "ranma" or transom featuring a spectacular array of Samurai Pavilions, a pagoda temple, and a mountain minka kusaya house tucked near a mountain peak. All are finely executed in hinoki (cypress) wood and with a handsome hand made frame. Hand carved and meticulously detailed in light original natural color make this imposing garden and mountains screen a must consideration. Notice the simple and fine details.

Dimensions: 15 inches high and 67 inches length and 3.5 inches double thick; perfect for wall mounting. Architectural details called ranma are often found above doors in traditional Japanese houses and buildings. These details can be anything from simple shoji style dividers to elaborate wooden carvings allowing air to pass through. In the west ranma are sometimes mounted upon a wall as handsome wall art.
