Large Pair of Rare Finely Done Japanese Cloisonne Vases decorated with Floral and Butterfly Motif over a Pigeon Blood Color Enamel Ground. This was made in Japan in the Late Meiji Period (January 25, 1868 - July 30, 1912) to Early Taisho Period (Jul 30, 1912 - Dec 25, 1926). Listing is for the pair of vases (you get both). Elegantly enameled Lily Plants / Flowers with Butterflies on rear of vessel.
Vessels contain Footed base with rounded and Greek key upper border with rounded and Ruyi lower border. Height: 9.5 inches / 24.13 cm. Diameter: 4.5 inches / 11.43 cm.
Overall the items are in good condition and has normal and typical signs of wear from age and light scratches. Spiderwebbed areas under the surface of enamel and you CAN'T feel the spiderwebbed. Due it being under the surface, which means don't have to worry about the enamel flaking off given the issue is under the surface.Other than that, there is normal wear and NO dents.
