Fine 19C Hirado tea ceremony brazier with super-fine low relief decoration

  

Fine 19C Hirado tea ceremony brazier with three feet formed as shishi, the body decorated in very fine low relief with bands of scrolling designs including peonies. The removeable upper part is decorated ensuite. One of the feet has been broken off and has been well restored. Height 23.5cm, Diameter 16cm.

Had this not been without the lid and had restoration to a foot this would command a far more significant price as the workmanship of the relief work is superb.
